Escape the February Blues!

Are you feeling the February blues? Unless you are living in the Southern Hemisphere or in a country blessed with plenty of sunshine all-year-round, chances are that you are starting to get sick of the dark and the grey skies. It’s no coincidence that carnival traditions developed during this time of the year, bringing some noise, colour and mischief into the gloomy atmosphere: carnival is above all a celebration of freedom, a time when rules can be bent. If you are looking for a quick mental escape: how about diving into the paintings below and imagining that you are a part of the scene?
