October!

Part 1

It’s finally October! It’s officially fall. The leaves are coloured in deep orange, and pumpkins are waiting to be carved. The weather is cooling down, and the nights are longer.

October is a cosy month, and here are some of my favourite October things. And, of course, starting with the theme of the magazine – art.

Claude Monet, Autumn Effect at Argenteuil (1873), Courtauld Gallery, London

In the painting you see a lake, and trees leaning towards it, with dozens of fall leaves hanging from the trees. The painting gives me the feeling of a peaceful world, with a little town and a blue sky. It is from one of my favourite painters, Claude Monet, I am sure you are familiar with him. I can imagine the little town buzzing with the excitement of fall and little kids jumping into big piles of leaves.

Series

As I mentioned in the beginning of the article, fall is simply a month of coziness. And one of my fall guilty pleasures is drinking a hot cocoa with lots and lots of marshmallows, while watching a series.

I recommended as a fall series “Gilmore Girls”! This TV series is perfect for the fall, it shows autumn in the American countryside at its best. You can find it on Netflix.

What is the series about?

It’s about a mother and her daughter Rory (but it’s mostly about Rory). It’s about Rory’s school life, about her friends, and challenges in life.

Here are some photos for fall inspiration, and stay tuned for the next fall article! Want a hint? There will be baking recipes, classical music and fall fashion!
